This is an ADVANCED cut that requires a cat with seasoned grooming experience or complete lethargy. In short we need them to stay still.

Originally created as a tongue-in-cheek variation of the Crested Cut, the Dinosaur Cut somehow escaped into the wild and developed a following of its own. The coat is sculpted into a series of dramatic plates or spikes along the spine, creating a look that is unmistakably prehistoric.

Because of the precision required, this is one of our most advanced and time-consuming specialty fur cuts. Dinosaur Cuts require an exceptional amount of patience and cooperation from the cat and are not available for first-time clients. We generally reserve this style for seasoned grooming veterans who have demonstrated they can comfortably tolerate more detailed grooming work.

If your kitty has the temperament, the Dinosaur Cut is guaranteed to attract attention and more than a few laughs.

The photo above shows the same basic fur cut at three different lengths. Lion length removes the most coat. Kitten length leaves a soft, velvety layer behind. Natural length leaves the body coat untouched.
