OH, No FLEAS!!!

Infographic explains flea life cycle stages and their distribution off the pet.

We know its horrible and a seeming unending battle; but you CAN WIN. Here are some tips we would like to share...

Flea medication will kill the fleas that are living on your pet within 24 hours of application, but that does not take care of any fleas currently residing in your home; thus your pet can get fleas again from their environment. Fleas take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to be eradicated from your home. We recommend the below four step process.

Step 1

Make an appointment with Flea Busters or DIY Food Grade  Diatomaceous. Flea Busters will come into your home and spray your house with a non toxic powder. They guarantee their work for one year.

Step 2

Three days before your grooming appointment apply a topical ointment or give your cat flea pills. There is a flea medication that lasts a year! Ask your vet.

Step 3

Make a follow up appointment six weeks later with Shear Pets for another Dippity Do Da flea bath.
